The mission of First Baptist Christian Academy is to honor the Lord Jesus Christ by providing students an education based upon academic excellence with a biblical worldview.
FBCA accepts families of all faiths. First Baptist Christian Academy is an extension of an evangelistic, Bible teaching church. The school seeks to assist parents who desire a Christian education for their children. One of the goals of the school is that each child come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to develop a living relationship with Jesus. Therefore, it is important that parents who wish to enroll their child understand and agree with this goal.
First Baptist Christian Academy is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Accreditation Commission of the Texas Association of Baptist Schools (ACTABS). FBCA is a member of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) and the Texas Private School Association (TPSA).
The Truths of God’s Holy Word are woven into every class at every level at FBCA, not just in chapel and Bible class. All subjects reveal something about God, creation, mankind, moral order and purpose. FBCA examines the truths of these big ideas through biblical integration.

Campus security is taken seriously. At the beginning of the school day, entrance to campus is limited to the main entrance in the each building. Upon arrival, all visitors are required to present a valid driver’s license to the receptionist. In partnership with the Pasadena Police department, a uniformed police officer is on campus daily as well as a security personnel monitoring the premise. Security cameras are also located throughout campus.

As a college preparatory, students begin preparation for post-secondary education in the 8th grade by practicing for the SAT and in 9-11th grade with PSAT/SAT/ACT test preparations and practice exams. Dual Credit is an option that provides qualifying Juniors and Seniors with the ability to earn a college credit and a high school credit for approved courses.
First Baptist Christian Academy believes that quality education includes the opportunity to participate in athletic programs. The athletic program is extracurricular only in the sense that student involvement is a voluntary privilege and requires an investment of considerable time outside the school day. Therefore, with these opportunities available, students are expected to represent the school as a part of the Christian community with exemplary behavior wherever they go, as the public will take notice.
